Who is responsible

Information we collect

When you contact us or build an estimate, we may receive your name, telephone number, email address, address or postcode, rug-service choices, repair details, collection preference, message and communication choices. We also receive basic technical security information needed to prevent spam and protect the form.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry, provide an estimate and arrange a service at your request.
• To manage customer orders, payments, collections, repairs and queries.
• To meet accounting, tax, safety and other legal obligations.
• To send occasional seasonal rug-care reminders only when you have actively opted in.
• To protect the website and enquiry form from misuse and spam.

We rely on steps taken at your request before providing a service, performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, legal obligations, and consent for optional reminder emails.

Who helps us process it

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Google Workspace delivers and stores business email, Google Sheets stores a reminder-consent record when requested, and Google Maps Platform provides optional address suggestions in the enquiry form. These providers may process technical or account information through global systems under their own safeguards. Read theCloudflare privacy policyand Google privacy policy.

We may also share information where necessary with professional advisers, payment or delivery providers, insurers, regulators or law-enforcement bodies. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept only while they remain useful for answering your request, managing repeat service or resolving a query. Customer and transaction records may be retained for the period required for accounting, tax, insurance or legal needs. Reminder consent is kept until you withdraw it or it is no longer needed. We may retain a minimal suppression record so we do not contact someone who has opted out.

Gift vouchers and staff access

For a gift voucher, we store the buyer’s email address, recipient’s name, gift message, voucher value, expiry, payment reference and the version of the terms accepted. We use these details to fulfil the purchase, deliver the voucher and maintain an accurate payment and redemption record. We do not add voucher buyers or recipients to marketing lists.

Stripe processes card payments; card numbers do not pass through our website. Cloudflare stores voucher and redemption records. Resend handles voucher email delivery. A redemption records the laundry job reference, value applied, date and the signed-in staff member. We keep these records as needed to administer vouchers and meet our transaction-record obligations.

The private staff screen uses an essential, secure session cookie that expires after eight hours. Short-lived security counters help limit repeated login and voucher-code attempts. Keep voucher links and codes private: someone with the code can view its recipient name and gift message, although only signed-in staff can redeem it.

Seasonal reminders and unsubscribing

Seasonal reminders are optional and the website box is not selected in advance. You can withdraw your consent at any time by replying “Unsubscribe” to a reminder or using the button below. We will stop reminder emails as soon as reasonably possible.

Cookies and third-party content

We do not use advertising or behavioural-analytics cookies. The enquiry form's address field may load Google Maps Platform so Google can suggest matching addresses while you type; manual entry remains available. The location section includes a lazy-loaded Google map and a link to Google directions. When a Google feature loads, Google may receive technical information from your browser and apply its own cookies or similar technology.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict how it is used, object to its use, or ask for a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us using the details above and we will respond in line with applicable data-protection law.

If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to theInformation Commissioner’s Office.
